FaceMask Elastic Band Ear Support (Disposable)
Our local heroes in the medical sector are required to wear surgical mask all day, probably not taking it off for the entire shift hours, and beyond. We have gathered as much from local news and social media that hooking these elastic bands behind ears causes bleeding, pain and discomfort. While our nurses and other front-line workers continue to wear facemask, their ears will continue to rub against the elastic straps. And we’d like to help.
We have developed a set of disposable rear head support to ease the pain. Best of all, this is an low-cost solution and can be quickly manufactured in a large quantity.

Design & Production
After a review of a few existing support designs we realized the common problem is the stress which the elastic band from mask rests on top of the ear.
This design will relief the redness and soreness behind your ears from elastics, by elevating the band away the ears completely.
The material is made of acrylic and elastic band. Acrylic is produced by a laser cutter, and dis-infected by ultra-sonic alcohol bath before packaging.
Method of Use
Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
The purpose of this device is to extend the earloop band away from the ear towards upper back of head, the adjustable rubber band will keep tension and prevent slipping.
The two hook holds the masks’s earloop elastic strap in place.
The hooks are labeled “L” and “R” and faces forward.
